A blonde-haired, blue-eyed boy discovers he is black in 1967 Alabama. Kicked out of his segregated school and threatened on his baseball team, 14-year-old Mark Lawson must find his way in a world where prejudice and race can determine your present and your future. During his struggle to understand his new place in society, Mark learns how his black team mate Eddie feels about integration, equality and identity. Mark must decide whether to embrace his new ethnicity or try to bridge the gap between black and white.
