About the Author

Kyi May Kaung has been writing fiction since she was a teenager in Rangoon, Burma. She came to the United States on a Fulbright Fellowship and earned a doctorate in Political Economy, focusing on totalitarian countries like Burma and why they do not develop. 1997-2010 she broadcast to Burma as a political analyst and has worked for the Burmese Democratic Government in Exile. She is so happy now to devote herself entirely to writing and the visual arts.
