Ages 2-4. Maisy, the friendly little rodent now seen on TV, stars in two little stories. Kids will these enjoy the simple, though slight tales and the brilliantly coloured illustrations. In Doctor, Maisy dons a white coat and ministers to Panda with stethoscope and thermometer. Morning shows Maisy at work on the farm: driving a tractor; feeding the chickens, pigs, and sheep; and milking the cow. According to copyright information, the books are based on a Maisy audio-visual series, and the gouache paintings are "illustrated in the style of Lucy Cousins." The derivation of books won't matter to little ones, though. They'll simply enjoy revisiting an old friend. Carolyn Phelan

If your child loves Maisy books as much as mine does, definitely add this one to your collection! Not only are the pictures colorful and inviting, but it also makes going to the doctor seem fun and exciting! Plus, it's always great to see Maisy and her friends playing different roles and doing fun things! Each page brings delight to my child's eyes!
