Gary Tillery is the author of two other works of poetry: 50 Epiphanies-a collection of original haiku, and Through a Dark, Glassly, a volume comprising 66 poems ranging from the whimsical to the thought-provoking. He has also published three comic detective novels, a collection of short stories exploring the Vietnam War experience, and biographies on the spiritual lives of John Lennon, George Harrison and Elvis Presley. He is also a professional artist whose public works appear in Chicago, Hollywood, Phoenix, and Milwaukee, among other cities. His most prominent artwork is the featured sculpture of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial at Wabash Plaza in Chicago. Born in Phoenix, Arizona, he is a lifelong internationalist at heart. He graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in Latin American Studies, and earned a Master's from Thunderbird School of Global Management. He now resides near Chicago with his wife and son.
