Carolyn Pearce has always been fascinated by fabrics, laces, threads and buttons. She learned to embroider 'properly' in the 1980s and was hooked. Describing herself as a ‘frustrated artist’, Carolyn uses her threads as a paint box. Her favourite technique is always the one she is working on now and her ‘other love’ - the garden - provides constant inspiration for her needlework. Carolyn has a BA Dip. Ed. and her teaching and writing skills are put to good use in workshops throughout Australia. She is also the convenor for the course in Silk Ribbon Embroidery at the Embroiderers' Guild of New South Wales.
