As an aerodynamicist and then project engineer, he worked on military aircraft, sailplanes, missiles, and hypersonic re-entry vehicles. Throughout his career he volunteered his time and energy to promote the community, STEM careers, and those who wish to pursue them. He holds three aviation patents for devices and methods to improve energy efficiency at airports. As an innovation champion, he was instrumental in bringing new tools and processes into his employers such as 3-D printing, crowdfunding, and dedicated spaces for employee innovation.
