powerhouse', is a former English stage, film, and television
actress, now a writer. Her iF Poems app was launched to great
acclaim in November 2011 and was the Apple Editors' Choice All Time
Favourite app. iF: A Treasury of Poems for Almost Every Possibility
was published in 2012 and The Love Book in 2014. Her collection A
Poem for Every Night of the Year was a phenomenal success with rave
reviews and her next collection A Poem for Every Day of the Year is
just as thoughtful and inspiring. Allie also organizes and hosts
live poetry events and is on the advisory board for the Cheltenham
Festival. A thousand people attended her event at the National
Theatre! Simon Russell Beale is a British actor, author and music
historian. He has appeared in Persuasion (1995), The Young Visiters
(2003), The Deep Blue Sea (2011) and as Falstaff in the BBC
television films Henry IV Part I and Part II (2012) for which he
won the 2013 Television BAFTA for Best Supporting Actor. He was
also part of the main cast of Showtime's Penny Dreadful and has
been described by The Independent as ‘the greatest stage actor of
his generation’.
Simon’s numerous radio and audiobook recordings include War &
Peace, The Trials of Oscar Wilde, and Hamlet, The Tempest and
Measure for Measure for the Shakespeare CD Series.
Helen McCrory, OBE, is an illustrious British actress. Appointed
Officer of the Order of the British Empire in the 2017 New Year
Honours for services to drama, Helen’s roles are many and varied.
Since 2013 she has played Aunt Polly, matriarch to the Shelby crime
family, in Peaky Blinders, the enormously popular historical drama
based on Birmingham’s gangs in the 1920s. Helen also portrayed the
cool and elegant Narcissa Malfoy in the final three films of the
Harry Potter franchise. Helen can also be heard as the voice of
Stelmaria, daemon to Lord Asriel, in HBO’s adaptation of His Dark
Materials by Phillip Pullman. On stage, Helen has played some of
literature’s most famous women, including Medea and Lady Macbeth.
British actor Damian Lewis is most well known for his Best Actor
Golden Globe-nominated performance as the American World War II
hero, Major Richard Winters, in the Emmy-winning HBO mini-series
Band of Brothers. He also portrayed Soames Forsyte in the acclaimed
ITV/Granada production of The Forsyte, and the title character in
Keane. More recently he played Los Angeles Detective Charlie Crews
in the NBC drama Life. Harriet Jane Morahan is an English
television, film and theatre actress. Her television roles include
The Bletchley Circle, The Gilded Age. She has appeared in films
like Fool Me Once, Enola Holmes and Beauty and the Beast. For
theatre, Harriet has performed inn productions of Anatomy of a
Suicide, The Family Reunion and Twelfth Night. As a voice actress,
she has featured in numerous Doctor Who audio plays as companion
Helen Sinclair, for Big Finish Productions. Jade Anouka is an
English actress and poet. She is known for her various stage roles
and for her appearances in the ITV dramas Trauma and Cleaning Up.
Paapa Essiedu is a British actor. He is known for his work in
theatre, though he has also worked in film and television. He won
the 2016 Ian Charleson Award for his title role in Hamlet and
Edmund in King Lear, both at the Royal Shakespeare Company. Born
and bred in Somerset, Ben has worked predominantly in theatre since
graduating from drama school, including a number one tour with ATG
as well as All's Well That Ends Well and The History Boys at the
National Theatre. He has worked on a number of projects, including
a podcast for David Nicholls's One Day, Learning English as a
Foreign Language for Dummies, It’s a Guy Thing, Afternoon Reading
for BBC Radio 4 and CAE for Cambridge Esol. Jot Davies was brought
up by teacher parents in Kenya, Colombia and the Isle of Wight. He
eventually studied Modern and Medieval Languages at Cambridge
University where he acted in and directed probably too many plays.
After touring with the Footlights in his final year, Jot joined the
BBC Radio Drama Company and cut his audio teeth in plays, live
comedy shows and readings. It was a natural and welcome step into
audiobooks and now he is an award-winning narrator, across most
