Ever since Jake's dad got a new job, and his family moved to the city, Jake's been feeling like a country bumpkin. Kyle Mewburn won the 2010 NZ Post Best Picture Book Award and Best Book Award for Old Huhu. He was born in Brisbane, Australia. He completed his Bachelor of Business at the Queensland Institute of Technology. Then he travelled in Europe and the Middle East before settling in New Zealand in 1990. Mewburn's publications include The Hoppleplop (Scholastic, 2004), The Bear in the Room Next Door (Scholastic, 2006) and Duck is Stuck (Scholastic 2008), which was a finalist in the 2009 New Zealand Post Book Awards for Children. Heath McKenzie is a best-selling illustrator/designer from Melbourne. His work has appeared in children's books, magazines, novels, advertising campaigns, on cover art, and even on jewellery! He is most known for illustrating the best-selling The Australian 12 Days of Christmas.
