DOCTOR ZHIVAGO:
David Lean demonstrates again why he's a peerless filmmaker of substance and scale, directing Boris Pasternak's tumultuous tale of Russia divided by war and hearts torn by love. Epic images abound: revolution in the streets, an infantry charge into No Man's Land, the train ride to the Urals, an icebound dacha. Doctor Zhivago is a moviemaking wonder.

GONE WITH THE WIND:
David O. Selznick's production of Margaret Mitchell's Pulitzer Prize winner, Gone With The Wind is "the pinnacle of Hollywood moviemaking," Leonard Maltin of Entertainment Tonight said. And in Maltin's view, "it looks it has in years." This sweeping Civil War-era romance won an impressive 10 Academy Awards including Best Picture. Immortal characters populate an epic story of enduring appeal across generations. Judged by many as the greatest movie of all time.

CASABLANCA:
Easy to enter, but much harder to leave, especially if your name is on the Nazi's most-wanted list. On top of that list is Czech Resistance leader Victor Laszlo (Paul Henreid), whose only hope is Rick Blaine (Humphrey Bogart), a cynical American who sticks his neck out for no one...especially Victor's wife Ilsa (Ingrid Bergman), the ex-lover who broke his heart. So when Ilsa offers herself in exchange for Laszlo's safe transport out of the country, the bitter Rick must decide what's more important - his own happiness or the countless lives that hang in the balance. Winner of three Academy Awards including Best Picture.

BEN-HUR:
The numbers speak volumes: 100,000 costumes, 8,000 extras, 300 sets and a staggering budget that in its day was the largest in movie history. But impressive numbers don't tell the whole story. Because Ben-Hur's creators didn't just make it big. They made it the best, the greatest Biblical-era epic ever. Ben-Hur won a total 11 Academy Awards - a tally unequaled until 1997's Titanic set sail.

This is a really fantastic collection of classic Hollywood films. We watched Casablanca last night and I was reminded what extraordinary performances it contains. And I'm not only talking about Bogart and Bergman, but Claude Rains, Peter Lorre, Dooley Wilson and virtually all the cameos. The only slight problem with this edition is that the sound is mixed very low. We had to crank it up to 100% on our TV.

Four great classical movies are included in this collection. This is a beautiful collection and if you haven’t watched any of these movies, here is a reasonable deal and you can get all these amazing films in one go. My top favorite among these films is Ben Hur, followed by Gone with the Wind.
