William Wyler directs this classic crime drama starring Humphrey Bogart and Joel McCrea. In the slums of New York, a brand new apartment block has been built to take advantage of the beautiful views of the East River. The area is dominated by a gang of street urchins called The Dead End Kids, led by Tommy Gordon (Billy Halop). With the gang used to getting their own way on their streets, they become hellbent on staking a claim on their territory when the posh folk move in and their first victim is the unfortunate rich kid Philip (Charles Peck).
