For two young boys (Tyron Leitso), the adventure of lifetime begins when their plane crashes to the shores of the hidden world of Dinotopia.

In this fantastic lost world built on mutual respect, humans and dinosaurs peacefully coexist. That is, until the delicate balance of nature begins to waver. Just beyond the citys capital two evils lay in wait - the deadly carnivorous dinosaurs and the outlawed humans led by Cyrus Crabb (David Thewlis).

With the help of Marion (Katie Carrs), the Mayors beautiful daughter, Karl and David embark on a daring mission to discover the mysterious failing of the sunstones which powers all of Dinotopia life and re-install the balance of the prehistoric Eden they now call home.

Synopsis

Carl and David, two boys flying a small aircraft over the ocean with their father, crash land near an uncharted island. The boys swim safely to shore but their father unfortunately drowns in the crash. On their own the brothers explore the island and soon discover it is not only inhabited by people but by dinosaurs as well. While the place seems easy enough to get used to, the boys must find a way of returning to their home.

This is a Region 4 disc, the local region for New Zealand.

This movie is aimed for children and has mostly friendly dinosaurs: and yes, some of them talk, which does take a little getting used to for the stranded Carla and David! Makes for a lot easier communication when we can speak the same language! This is a good family movie, with suspense and entainment value. Harry Potter fans will recognize the actor playing Cyrus Crabb. This is a movie - with good morals and language - that children 7 and up will enjoy.

i dont really like this movie/mini series (cant remember which one it is) the actings not that great and the plot isnt either. another thing i didnt really like abou it was that the dinosaurs (or one of them anyway) talked, what the hell is up with that?
