I bought this for my grandchildren on the recommendation of a friend who said it was great.

Robin Hood is a wonderful tale about a fox and his friend who steal from the rich and give to the poor. It is a wonderful story for kids as it raises moral questions without confusing them, such as questions about wealth distribution. It also gives the kids some humour. My 8 year old daughter absolutely loved it when I first showed it to her.

This was one of my favourite films as a kid: a classic story with some well animated animal characters. And it's still a lot of fun today. I'm not sure that this is a special edition though (I fail to see how a film like this deserves or needs a special edition); I think it is just part of Disney's re-release of their classic animation films. But it's still good all the same.
