After the death of his family at the hands of the Nazis, Magnus, a mutant, vows revenge on all humanity. Meanwhile a group of good mutants is assembled by Charles Xavier, who trains and cares for them. Magnus, now under the guise of Magneto, assembles villains Sabertooth and Mystique to destroy anyone that gets in his way, including a furry canadian mutant named Logan (Wolverine). Fierce battle ensues between Sabertooth and Wolverine; Xavier's group, the X-men, recruits the Logan just in time to learn of Magneto's dastardly evil plan to destroy the world.
I actually enjoyed Elektra, sure it’s no Oscar award winning piece but it worked well for me. Good characters, good villains, the usual story. Both X men movies are decent enough for a good watch, certainly better than the third. Daredevil? Well I can’t take Ben Affleck seriously but the movie is not too bad. Overall this is a pretty good 4 pack of movies.
The only movie worth owning in this odd collection is the first X-Men film which is a bit of a classic the rest are messy at best and terrible at worst. X-Men 2 was a disaster, Daredevil was dreadful and Elektra was just fair. Sure there are superheroes in all four movies but what good is a superr hero in a really bad movie?
A great idea from Marvel fans (although Fantastic Four would probably be nice)... Sadly, other than the original X-Men, they're all pretty average movies. Daredevil is lame, Elektra goes nowhere, and X-Men 2 suffers from that whole "secret undergorund lair finale" cliche. Not my kettle of fish, but a good deal for fans...
