  • ANASTASIA's soundtrack captures all the majesty and drama of the animated tale of love and intrigue. Liz Callaway's bright, pretty voice is well-suited to the role of Anastasia, the legendary last survivor of the Romanovs, while Kelsey Grammer is lovable as Vladimir, the fallen aristocrat who befriends her. Jim Cummings is the sinister villain Rasputin, and Bernadette Peters rounds out the film's sterling cast as the regal Sophie.
  • In addition to orchestral music, the ANASTASIA soundtrack contains contributions by some of today's biggest pop artists--Richard Marx and Donna Lewis duet on "At The Beginning, " R&B songstress injects a more modern flair with the warm, feel-good theme "Journey To The Past," and country belter Deanna Carter delivers a huskier, more acoustic version of "Once Upon A December," which is sung earlier in the film by Anastasia in a more orchestral form.

This Disney score is beautiful and nostalgic and is great listening. Also has some great sing-a-long tracks for my family in the car on longer trips.

For all those who loved the cartoon marvels of the 90s, this certainly brings back memories. Excellent vocals, endearing melodies and a phantasmagorical adventure that accompanies it:)

Thalia's final track is brilliant, as are the tracks from the score. 'In the beginning' has beautiful piano chords' and the overtones in Lloyds 'In the Dark of the Night' leave you wanting more. Journey to the past is one of the highlights. Overall its a supurb carefully crafted album, which is quite similar in ways to Menkens work.
