The first attempt to anthologize the 4-Skins for the CD generation, The Wonderful World of the 4-Skins wrapped up 16 songs drawn from throughout the band's too-short career and, at the time, was certainly a welcome summary of what made them seethe. Of course, subsequent examinations of the band's output have rendered it all but redundant, both in terms of content and sound quality (those early CD releases have a lot to answer for), but it still makes a smart introduction. ~ Dave Thompson
